Saturday evening, October 23rd, just a few days away from Sam's 7th birthday and his grandmother's 50something birthday!
We are having an open house tomorrow evening for George Shurtleff. He is 91 years old and has lived in this neighborhood ever since we have lived her. His wife died several years ago. Anyway he is moving to the Phoenix, AZ area this week to be closer to his daughter and for the good weather. (I am envious of the good weather part.)
George's father lived to be 100 years old. Then he decided that he had lived long enough and passed on in about two months. George is headed for 100 years also.
George is the one who repaired numberous holes in the walls cased by accidents in the Boys Club in our basement. We will miss him.
And let's see; today I mowed the lawn in the front yard mostly to pick up the leaves which, all of a sudden, decided to fall. Tonight I can't tell that I had done anything. I guess the leaves will all be down in a few days.
I think the bad weather is coming quickly.
So much for a first time. More coming including pictures.
